Manna Homeless Society Assistance

Knox supports the Manna Homeless Society through the following outreach programs:

Thrifty Foods Bread Program

Twice a month, volunteers pick-up the day-old bakery items from our local Thrifty's and deliver them to Manna for distribution.

Sandwich Program

Twice a month, volunteers gather in the Knox kitchen and make dozens of sandwiches and deliver them to Manna for distribution.

Donation Box

We collect warm clothing & accessories as well as outdoor gear such as tents and tarps; toiletries; backpacks; anything that someone who is living rough could use.   If you have something to offer, the box is in the hallway just before the lounge.

Knitting Program

Next to the Manna donation box, there is a plastic bin of yarn.  We welcome yarn donations and ask all knitters and crocheters to help themselves to the yarn to make hats, toques, scarves and mitts.  When finished, just put your creations in the Manna Donation Box.

If you are interested in helping with any of these programs, contact Jan Lucas by email or phone her at  250-468-9318
