The Creation Justice Team has started a Community Food Garden to grow vegetables for donation to the Soup Kitchen and the Food Bank.
We warmly thank the folks of Knox United and the community for their financial and volunteer support of this project. Our planters are built and filled with soil. Many thanks to MAC Community Garden for wood and advice, to the Baha’is for help, to Earthman Contractors for giving us 20% off soil, and a reduced delivery fee, and to QB Seedy Saturday for donating $500 and 10 bags of Sea-Soil.
We invite you to come take a look at the garden if you live nearby and to reflect on how we can nurture our own personal and spiritual growth.
“Right now, I’m tending to my own native seeds—tiny, fragile things that hold so much power and potential.
Phlox and Black-Eyed Susan, Bluebells and Bluestem. I watch them sprout and stretch toward the sun, knowing that each one is a refugium: a small, humble place but one that contains the power of life to grow and be sustained.
As they take root in my garden, they will provide shelter and sustenance to pollinators and wildlife, weaving themselves into the greater web of creation.”
“Seeds are a reminder that renewal begins in small, deliberate acts of care.”
