Ukrainian Benefit Concert - piano recital by Anna Sagalova on Sunday June 25, 2pm at Knox United Church. Anna and her son fled the war in Ukraine and found refuge in Surrey, BC. With determination and caring for her colleagues who remain in Ukraine, Anna strives to use her renowned talents to fundraise needed financial support for Kharkiv I.P. Kotlyarevsky National University of Arts, where she holds the position of Associate Professor. She has performed as guest pianist with orchestras throughout Ukraine under the batons of conductors including those from Ukraine, USA, Switzerland, Great Britain and Austria.Admission by donation. All proceeds from the concert will aid directly the Kharkiv I.P. Kotlyarevsky National University of Arts. Knox United Church has donated their church venue and all helpers, including church staff, have donated their time.
