As most of you have already been made aware, our beloved community lost a treasured member of our faith community on Sunday when Margaret Warburton’s soul returned home to God. We are all trying not to be sad as we trust Margaret is even now, enjoying a wonderful reunion with her beloved husband Bob. We expect that she is busy getting heaven organized in the same way she cheerfullyorganized us at Knox.
Her daughter Linda and granddaughter Jenn, her daughter Louise and grandson Robert and granddaughter Kim gathered to attend to her needs and sat vigil for the days following her severe stroke last Monday night. She was blessed by so many friends who came to say good-bye and thank you.

Knox was richly blessed by Margaret’s leadership and her wonderful capacity to find other leaders and helpers. Whether it was organizing the Fall Fair or the Ambassadors for the Sandcastle Competition or the Fashion Show or the Coldest Night of the Year, Margaret loved it all. For Margaret, fundraising was not a chore, it was a wonderful excuse for people to pull together and strengthen and broaden the community. She always managed to put the fun into fundraising. And Margaret was one of those rare people who loved meetings. We will miss her presence at all these meetings - Social Justice & Outreach, Climate Justice, Council, and Worship and Arts, and we will miss her devotion to the church and trying to keep it looking as warm and organized and inviting as her own home.

She loved to attend the Gathering Place every Tuesday and she loved her church family.
Her presence will be deeply missed. She leaves a big hole at Knox and in all our hearts.

Margaret’s celebration of life will be held at Knox on Saturday, June 21st at 1:00 pm.
