We received word from Linda Burrow’s sister Joyce that Linda passed away before 11:00 am yesterday EST from cancer.
Linda was an active member of Knox for many years and those who knew her will remember her dressing up as Mrs. Claus at various functions bringing a smile and joy to everyone. She was always giving of herself and serving in various capacities in the church and community. She loved Fall Fair seeing it not only as an opportunity to serve but to work alongside her Knox friends toward a shared goal.
Before she moved to Ontario in March of 2023, Linda threw a wonderful good-bye party in gratitude for all of her many friends on the Island. Another example of her generous and selfless heart. In that same month we had a good-bye blessing for her in worship on Sunday morning at Knox to recognize her years of service to and for our faith community.
Linda had a full and rich life and travelled to many exotic countries picking up various treasures from around the world and at her good-bye party she generously gifted friends with those mementos to remember her by.
The world was a little brighter and more full of laughter because Linda was in it, and for this we give thanks and warmly remember her.
