Dear Friends of Knox:

We received the following email from Wendy and Don Reimer’s daughter, Lisa, who said that "
Wendy wanted the Knox community to know about the passing of her husband, Don. Wendy was involved with the Knox choir for many years and loves the Knox community. She hasn’t been able to worship for the past few years as she has been caring for Don.”
“It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my father, Don Reimer. He died peacefully, surrounded by family, in the Nanaimo General Hospital on Monday, June 15, 2026, at the age of 83.
Dad had developed dementia and diabetes and had cancer for the last many years. In the end he succumbed to a Covid-Pneumonia virus. He wasn’t in any pain and in fact had an end-of-life rally where we were able to see the Don we knew 30 years ago.  He was joking, laughing, and talking non-stop for almost 2 days.

Corinne, David, and I were blessed to have such a strong, loving, intelligent and patient father, who could not have been more devoted and loyal to Wendy. They would have been celebrating their 60th anniversary in early July.

We will share memorial details as they unfold.  Should you wish to write a card to Wendy, she would appreciate it very much.  She is at the Gardens in Qualicum Beach at 650 Berwick Rd North Qualicum Beach, BC V9K2T8

In deepest gratitude for his life
Jennifer Ferguson
