Aileen was born in the Matheson home in Grand River. She grew up in there and became a teacher. She wed her life long love Bob Budd.
Aileen Budd passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, at the amazing age of 104 ½. Both Aileen and her late husband, Bob were long-time and faithful members of Knox.
As her children said, “mom was a force to be reckoned with,” full of energy and humour. At 95 she was still working the bake table at the Fall Fair and recounting wonderful stories. She was a devoted wife to Bob until his passing 18
months ago, and a wonderful mother to her son and three daughters and beloved grandmother to her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Aileen’s Celebration of Life will be held at Knox United Church on Sunday May 24th at 1:00 pm.
