Festive Brass Presents: Christmas in Canada
Experience the magic of the holidays with Festive Brass as they present Christmas in
Canada — a joyful, family-friendly concert series touring Vancouver Island this
December.
Featuring the glorious sounds of brass and the voices of beloved local choirs, this
heartwarming performance celebrates Canadian holiday traditions through music,
storytelling, and community spirit. Enjoy timeless carols and festive favourites —
including Up on the Rooftop and The First Noel — each given the unmistakable Festive
Brass spin.
The program includes new Canadian works such as “A Canadian Christmas Fanfare”
and “Christmas in Canada”, alongside the group’s playful and creative arrangements.
Audiences can even join in on select songs for a lively sing-along with the choirs.
“It’s festive, funny, and full of heart,” says Festive Brass leader and trumpet player
Steven Paranosic. “You never quite know what might happen — a joyous musical
surprise or two — but always with great music and deep respect for the traditions of the
season.”
